Aims and objectives of Street-Cred

The Street-Cred project aims to:

• Increase participation in local and overseas social and environmental projects.
• Reverse the trend of school leavers from disadvantaged backgrounds not applying or accepting places at University due to increased fee levels.

with the following objectives:

• To encourage participation in social and environmental projects.
• To provide a basis for recognising the skills developed on such projects.
• To provide a mechanism for crediting skills developed and using these credits to gain a reduction in tuition fees.
• To build on other successful schemes such as the Duke of Edinburgh Awards Scheme and Raleigh International
